Skeikima is a documentary short film whose aim is to help raise awareness about the situation of young Saharawi people who must study in their occupant country, Morocco.
The Moroccan Government has illegally occupied the territory of Western Sahara since 1975, exercising a violent repression against the Saharawi people and violating their human rights with impunity.
Their refusal to build universities in Western Sahara forces students to move to Moroccan educational institutions. In spite of this, these students do not cease in their resistance.
Inside and outside, they continue their struggle peacefully for exercising their rights and for achieving the free self-determination of the Saharawis.
They are Skeikima, a river that returns hope to its people.
